Tonight's Card - Page of Wands

Hearken!

Tonight, this card isn't about the child represented by the page. It's about fire and ideas. One of Robin's secondary meanings is good news, an idea that leads to success. I've had fire on the brain since yesterday afternoon. I was alone a bit at the book signing, manning the table while a band was playing. The music pretty much chased any potential customers away, so I was making notes about a story idea that's been in the back of my head, and I couldn't pull it forward. I think I found the piece that makes it work, and it has to do with fire.

Now I draw a Fire card, one of the Wands. The Page, dressed all in firey red and gold, holding a wand, announcing success. It's as if my cards are validating the idea.

Now it's time to write it. I'll start with a short story that is essentially a historical flashback, since that scene could stand on its own. Then maybe the characters will tell me where it goes.
